Passengers from Europe countries will be kept under seven-day quarantine, said Health Minister Zahid Maleque.

Passengers from Europe countries will be kept under seven-day quarantine, said Health Minister Zahid Maleque.
“Coronavirus situation in Bangladesh is still under control. The government does not have any plan to impose a lockdown in the country right now. We took the decision of keeping Europe returnees under seven-day quarantine as precaution to curb the spread
of new strain of coronavirus identified in the United Kingdom,” he said.
The minister came up with the information while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of ‘Gene Expert Machine and Mobile Laboratory’ at Ashkona Hajj Camp in the capital.
Zahid Maleque said, the UK passengers will be provided with separate line and counter for immigration.
Bangladesh is carefully monitoring the situation in Britain and the government yet not take decision of imposing ban on air travel to and from the UK, he added.
