DU Correspondent :At least seven cocktails were exploded in different parts of the Dhaka University (DU) campus on Wednesday. No one was, however, injured in the explosion.Two DU students were held in this connection. They have been identified as Badiuzzaman, a third year student of Institute of Education and Research, and Lalon, a residential student of Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall in Masters Course. Eyewitness claimed that few students of the DU unit of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) blasted two of the seven cocktails in front of the DU Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) office at about 12:15pm.Soon after explosion, the leaders and the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) caught two JCD men and handed them over to the Shahbagh Police Station. In the morning, two cocktails were blasted in front of the Business Studies Faculty and another three cocktails near the Tin Netar Majar (Three Leaders’ Mausoleum). DU Acting Proctor Amzad Ali said they had heard the news and were looking into the matter. Officer-in-Charge of Shahbagh Police Station Sirajul Islam said that two students would be produced in the court.
