7 bodies of Rohingya drowning victims recovered

Bodies of seven Rohingya drowning victims, including five children and woman, have been recovered from two different locations off Bangladesh coast in Cox’s Bazar.
At least five more are still missing, according to police.
A total of 59 Rohingya refugees, who set off for Bangladesh by boats to escape persecution in Rakhine state, have been rescued alive from two locations at Ukhia and Tekhnaf in Cox’s Bazar district.
Officer-in-Charge of Teknaf Police Station Md Mainuddin Khan said that a boat carrying Rohingya refugees capsized at Moheshkhali Para Point at the Sadar Union at around 11am.
“Police rushed to the scene and recovered bodies of three children,” Khan said.
