Bangladesh Coast Guard arrests seven people along with five lakh Yaba pills conducting a drive in the Bay of Bengal on Sunday.
The Bangladesh Coast Guard on Sunday arrested seven people and seized five lakh Yaba pills in a drive in the Bay of Bengal, 30km from Teknaf.
Coast Guard’s media officer Hayat Ibna Siddique said that, on a tip-off, a team of the maritime law enforcement force conducted the drive around 1:30 am and recovered the pills from a fishing boat and arrested seven red-handed.
It was suspected that the drug was smuggling on the sea route from Myanmar to Bangladesh.
