Five-day 6th Bangladesh Fashion Carnival began on Wednesday at Emmanuell’s Banquet Hall in city’s Gulshan-1 aiming to showcase branded clothing, cosmetics and fashion products.
Over 45 companies from five countries are participating in this exhibition to showcase sarees, home textile, knitwear, salwar-kameez, 3-pieces, cosmetics and beauty products, kitchenware, ladies bags, footwear and Irani Melamine etc, said a press release.
“Our main purpose of this exhibition is to showcase quality products to the visitors” said an organizer Ahmed Imtiaz.
This Expo will be opened for general and trade visitors from 10.00am to 9.30pm till May 29.

Imtiaz said the exhibition was targeted to Eid Ul Fitr shopping & every year visitors await to come to our expo. Referring to the salient features of the Exhibition, he said – Day by Day our International Exhibitions getting good response from other countries – in this edition, we are having Companies from Bangladesh, India, Iran, Philippines, Pakistan &Turkey.
Fatema , Director Marketing of RedCarpet365 Ltd said Imitation Jewelry, Designer Kurtis, Salwar Kameez & Designer Sarees are doing great business than any other time. She also added this exhibition also has encouraged local manufacturers and producers to export their goods in foreign markets, giving a big boost to the country’s export earnings.
Maruf another director said, An array of quality products will be put on display in the fashion carnival. The products include Sarees, home textile, knitwear, Original Lawns, salwar-kameez, 3-pieces, cosmetics & beauty products, Kitchenware, ladies Bags, Footwear, Irani Melamine and other services.
