The 69th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Chhatra League was observed in Jhenaidah on Wednesday. The students’ organization chalked out various programmes to observe the Day.
A colourful rally was brought out from Jhenaidah Government Keshab Chandra Degree College which ended at Chuadanga Bus Stand after parading the town in the noon. The activists and people from all walks of life place floral wreaths and the mural o f Bangabandhu Shaikh Muzibar Rahman there.
A gathering was held at Jhenaidah district post office inter section where 69 pond weight cake was cut. Later a discussion meeting was held at the venue.
Presided over by District Chhatra League President Shaqil Ahmed, ex -BCL leader Ashoke Dhar, Ashfaq Mahmud John, Hafizur Rahman, Tushar Parvez, Khairul Islam, Mithun among others spoke. General Secretary of the wing Rana Hamid conducted the programme.
BSS from Manikganj adds: The 69th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of Awami League, was observed here on Wednesday amid various programmes.
Prof Mohammad Shahjahan, principal of Government Devendra College,
inaugurated the BCL founding anniversary observance programme by cutting a cake on the premises of Shaheed Minar at the college.
A discussion was held in front of Manikganj Press Club on the occasion. Al-Mamun, president of BCL of Manikganj Devendra College unit, presided over the discussion.
Local Zila Parishad chairman and president of Manikganj District Awami League Advocate Golam Mohiuddin was present in the function as the chief guest.
AM Naimur Rahman Durjoy, MP, and AFM Sultanul Azam Khan Apel, joint general secretary of district Awami League, among others, spoke at the function.
