The Dhaka University (DU) authorities on Thursday temporarily expelled 69 students on charges of their involvement in the admission test forgery.
The students are of the academic session from 2012-13 to 2017-18.
Show cause notices have been served to them as to why they should not be expelled permanently asking them to respond within seven days.
The varsity authorities took the decision in its syndicate meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor M Akhtaruzzaman.
Earlier in June, police pressed charges against 125 people, including 87 students of Dhaka University for their involvement in forgeries, including those of admission tests.
