The 68th birth anniversary of Sheikh Kamal, a valiant freedom fighter and the eldest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was observed through a day- long programme in the port city and elsewhere in the district on Saturday.
The day’s programme began with placing wreaths at the portrait of Sheikh Kamal on the premises of Abahani Club in the city Shaheed Sheikh Kamal was the founder of the premier club Abhani of the country.
Chittagong city AL leaders paid tributes to Sheikh Kamal by placing wreath at his portrait at city’s Darul Fazal Market party office. Quran Khani, Doa and Milad Mahfil were the highlights of the day’s programmes.To mark the occasion, Chittagong University Unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) organized a Milad Mahfil at the central mosque of the university this noon.
