68 students to vie for a seat in RU admission

Around sixty-eight students will vie for a seat in the upcoming admission tests for first year honors courses under 2017-2018 academic sessions at Rajshahi University.
A total of 3, 16,120 students across the country applied for the admission test against around 4,636 seats under 11 units, confirmed RU public relation office administrator Prof Provash Kumar Karmokar.
Earlier, scrutiny of applications started from September 10 and continued till the zero hour of September 24.
He said of the submitted forms, 33,680 admission seekers applied under A unit against 941 seats (faculty of arts), 31,689 students under B unit against 160 seats (faculty of law), 49,174 students under C unit against 660 seats(faculty of science), 22,526 students under D unit against 470 seats (faculty of business studies), 41, 232 students under E unit against 748 seats (faculty of social science), 39,934 students under F unit against 436 seats (faculty of life and earth science), 28,783 students under G unit against 212 seats (faculty of agriculture), 39,626 students under H unit against 272 seats (faculty of engineering) , 4,032 students under I unit against 120 seats(faculty of fine arts), 13,642 students under J unit against 50 seats (institute of business administration) and 11,622 students under K unit against 50 seats (institute of education and research).
Prof Kormokar also said that the admission seekers could be able to download their admit card from university website www.ru.ac.bd or www.admission.ru.ac.bd from October 7 to October 11, and the seat plan would be mentioned in the admit card.
 The admission tests will be held on October 22 to October 26.

 Earlier, around 1, 78,959 admission seekers applied against 4,712 seats in tests under the 2016-17 academic years, while some 1, 60,682 students vied for 4, 722 seats in 2015-16 academic sessions.
