Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and Detective Branch (DB) have arrested at least 68 drug traders on charges of selling and consuming drugs in the capital.
Detective Branch of the DMP in association with the members of local police stations of the city carried out the drives separately on Thursday and Friday.
During the drives, the law enforcers recovered 7,598 pieces of contraband Yaba pills, 358 grams of heroin, five kg of hemp and 330 bottles of phensedyl, 103 can beer, 85

domestic wine and nine bottles foreign wine, said DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman.
A total of 49 cases were filed with different police stations under Narcotics Control Act, DC added.
