A team of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive seized at least 68 fake logos mobile sets worth around Tk 25 lakh on charge of using fake logo from the capital’s Bashundhara City Shoping Mall on Monday.
Based on information, a mobile court led by Executive Magistrate Md Anisur Rahman of RAB-2 conducted the drive and seized the mobile sets, said a press release signed by Mohammad Saiful Islam, Assistant Superintendent of RAB-2.
The court also filed regular cases against the authorities of three shops to cheat the customers by using fake logos of branding 1
companies, it said.
The unscrupulous business men have been using logos of some branding companies without approval of the Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission (BTRC) for a long time that violation of the rules, according the release.
