A total of 68 Army and Navy personnel have been granted honorary commission and promotion on the occasion of the Victory Day to be celebrated today across the country.
Forty-seven from Bangladesh Army and 21 from Bangladesh Navy have been granted the honorary commission and promotion, said an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release on Tuesday.
Twenty-five Honorary Lieutenants of the Bangladesh Army have been promoted to Honorary Captain while 22 Junior Commissioned Officers with the rank of Master Warrant Officer have been granted commission to the rank of Honorary Lieutenant.
Besides, 21 Junior Commissioned Officers of Bangladesh Navy with the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer received Honorary Commission to the rank of Honorary Sub-Lieutenant.
These honorary promotion and honorary commission will be effective from today (December 16), the press release added.
