66 DU students receive Dean`s Award

The Faculty of Biological Sciences of Dhaka University on Thursday conferred Dean’s Award to 66 students of different departments under the faculty for their outstanding academic performance.
The students, who did the best results in the Honours Examinations during 2014-15 session, received a certificate and a crest each from the Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique in a ceremony held in the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban auditorium of the university.
Of them, 21 were males and 45 females.
Congratulating the recipients, Professor Arefin said that alongside academic excellences, students should develop human qualities. He called upon them to work for the people of backward community in the society and work in their professional lives with ethics.
Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences Professor M Imdadul Hoque presided over the function while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Akhtaruzzaman and Treasurer Professor Kamal Uddin addressed it as special guests.
