The result of the HSC examination under Chittagong Education Board was declared yesterday with pass percentage of 64.60 % on average of the all groups . The pass percentage of the immediate past year was 63.49% increased by 1.11% than previous year. The number of GPA-5 stands at 2,253 students.
A total of 87 ,483 students appeared under CEB and 57,016 came out successful, board sources said yesterday at about 11 am. The result was published in website at 2 pm , sources added.
Meanwhile Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the results of HSC exams across the country to Prime Minister Sk.Hasina at 10 am.
The formal announcement of the result made at a press conference held at the conference hall of Education Ministry , sources said. Out of total examinees of 87,463, male students 43,512 and female 43,951 appeared in Science, Commerce, Humanities and Home economics group.
The students of 225 educational institutions appeared in 97 centres across the greater chittagong . Out of the appeared, 14,789 in Science, 39,662 in commerce , 33,007 in Humanities and 5 in Home economics.
The female students achieved good result than the male students this year.Out of the totall pass, 65.53% occupied by females and 63.67% by male students, sources said.
