Kalmakanda Upazila Administration seized 63 sacks of different fertilizers from Bishorpasa bazer area under Kalmakanda upazila of the district and fined five local fertilizer dealers with Tk32 thousands on charge of taking attempt for selling these fertilizers in black markets in Hamidpur bazer under Sunamganj district on Saturday night.
Kalmakanda upazila Parishad office sources here said, acting on a secret information, a mobile court headed by UNO of Kalmakanda upazila and also executive magistrate Jakir Hussain rushed to the Bishorpasa bazer area and seized 45 sacks of urea fertilizer, 15 sacks of TSP fertilizer and three sacks of MOP fertilizer from there while these fertilizers were boarded on a trolley by the fertilizer dealers to sale these in back markets in the aforesaid Hamidpur bazer. The court also identified five local fertilizer dealers as responsible for committing the unlawful act.
