Sixty-three percents of the total patients died in the month of June alone. So far 1847 died since March 8, while 1135 in June alone.
Meanwhile, the number of total infections stood at 145,483.
As of May 31, the number of patients who died of corona was 692. According to the statistics of Director General of Health Service (DGHS) regular bulletin, from June 1 to 30 the death toll was 1,135. The figure shows, 63 percent of the deaths took place in this month (June).
Statistics show that 1 to 7 June 196 died, 8 to 14 June 283, 15 to 21 June 293 and lastly 22 to 30 June 363 people died.
The death of 64 people in a single day created a new panic among the people. It is really unwanted and should be taken seriously. When asked why there are so many deaths in a single day? The former Chief Scientific Officer of IEDCR’s Dr. Mushtaq Hossain said that the death toll had been rising for several days. But now it is not possible to explain as to why so many patients died suddenly that day. A public health expert, on condition of anonymity, said the death toll would rise further if the hospitals fail to supply with ntensive care units and oxygen for critical covid-19 patients. Although the number of deaths increased in the last 24 hours, the number of victims has decreased.
