Police in special drives arrested 63 people including nine drug peddlers on different charges form 10 upazials of the district from Friday night to yesterday noon.
Police said, during the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested 17 people, Chirirbandar police eight, Phulbari police four, Khansama five, Birganj seven, Biral four, Nawabganj three, Parbatipur five, Ghoraghat three and Birampur police arrested seven people.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.
Meanwhile, members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive recovered 500 bottles of Phensidyl from Birampur upazila.
The arrested people were sent to jail this noon.
