A total of 600 small and marginal farmers get seed and fertilizer as agri-incentives for the cultivation of Aush paddy and others crops under the agricultural incentive and rehabilitation program in Naniarchar upazila of the district.
The agri-incentive distributed function was held on Monday in front of Naniarchar Upazila Agriculture Extension Department.
Naniarchar Upazila Nibarhi Officer (UNO) Shiuli Rahman Tinni inaugurated the program, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Imtiaz Alam and Agriculture Officer Md. Tipu Sultan, among others, were present on the occasion.
Each of the farmers will get five kilograms of improved quality Aush paddy seed, 20kgs of Di Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertilizers and 10kgs of Muriate of Potash (MOP) fertilizers for Aush paddy cultivation on one bigha of land free under the government’s agricultural incentive
and rehabilitation programme, Md Imtiaz Alam, agriculture officer of the upazila said.
He said the agricultural incentives will help boost Aush paddy and other crops production as the country’s total production will be enhanced while the government has attached highest priority to the agriculture sector.
