Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recently inaugurated the handing over of land and houses along with 2% land as Eid gift to the homeless families on the occasion of Eid in a video conference from Ganobhaban.
The event was telecast live on the Vijayanagar Upazila premises in Brahmanbaria through a video conference of the Prime Minister held at Ganobhaban. Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner Md. Shahgir Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Ashraf Ahmed Russell, Upazila Chairman Nasima Mukai Ali, Upazila Executive Officer AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Land, Rabia Asfar Saima, Upazila Awami League President Zahirul enjoyed attending the function. Islam Bhuiyan, Vice Chairman Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Women Vice Chairman Savitri Rani, OC Mirza Mohammad Hasan, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Shahinur Jahan, Upazila Engineer Anisur Rahman Bhuiyan and others.
Under the Prime Minister’s Priority Shelter-2 project, for the rehabilitation of class A landless people, in the 3rd phase, they got 24 semi-finished houses in colored tin in Paharpur Union of Vijaynagar Upazila, 24 in Ichapura and 12 in Singerbill. A total of 60 families in 3 unions.
