On the occasion of marking 60 years of making Satyajit Ray’s classic movie Pather Panchali Channel i will air a special programme titled 60 Bochhorey Pather Panchali on Saturday at 11:00am.
Planned and produced by Anonna Ruma the 22-minute programme was also directed Ruma herself.
Hosted by Syed Salauddin Zaki Mahbub Jamil, filmmaker Abu Sayeed and film researcher Anwar Hossain Pintu will be present as invited guests to discuss about Satyajit Ray’s this classic movie in the programme.
Besides discussion, noted recitation artiste Shimul Mustafa will recite a part of dialogue which was delivered by Apu in Pather Panchali. The participant guests will recall memories of making the movie Pather Panchali in the programme. Therefore, several still images of the movie will also shown in the programme, said director of the programme Anonna Ruma.
