Six union parishad chairmen boycotted the three meetings of Charghat upazila administration in Rajshahi recently.
There has been a storm of criticism over the issue in the upazila
. UNO Ashraful Islam did not know why the chairman did not attend, he said .
The meeting was held from Thursday morning till noon. The meeting of the monthly Smuggling Prevention Committee and another meeting on the militancy and terrorism control committee was held but the UP chairmen were not present.
General Secretary of Rajshahi District Union Parishad Forum and Sardah union Chairmen Alhaj Hasanuzzaman Madhu said, UNO highly rated by the officers of the upazila parished except Chairmen. UNO Ashraful Islam has been distant from the chairmen from his joining time.
He also said that on Tuesday, DC inaugurated various activities of Charghat Upazila Parishad on Thursday morning but the UP Chairmen were not invited there.
