Detective Branch (DB) police arrested six terrorists of the town and the police team also recovered four foreign made pistols, four magazines and 14 rounds of ammunitions and seized a private car under their position from Chatiantola area of Bogra-Sariakandi recently.
The arrestees are Jamilur Rahman allies Suvo, 35, Abdul Hadi, 53, Anwarul Islam allies Rana, 42, Moniruzzaman allies Moni, 20, Razib Sultan, 21, and Suruj Mia, 32. Confirming the matter Superintendent Police of Bogra Md Asaduzzaman said in a press briefing at his office on Wednesday noon that a team of armed terrorists were preparing to a killing operation in Gabtoli.
On information a special team of DB police halted a private car, carrying gang leader Shuvo and his five aides in Chatiantola area with Gabtoli police. The arrestees were returning from a reported killing mission in Gabtoli Upazila of the district around 2:00am, he added. Shuvo is the prime accused of Jubo League leader Nasim and Sramik League leader Ranju and also the main accused of Songlap and Khokon murder cases; he was also accused of three extortions and one kidnapping case.
