Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive seized some video footage and a large number of scientific equipment from a house in Mohammadpur area of the capital on Saturday morning.
The elite force detained at least six persons from the house for their alleged involvement in cyber crimes.
The identities of the arrested criminals could not be known immediately, elite force official sources said.
RAB’s Media Wing Assistant Director Major Maksudul Alam said that a team of RAB-2 conducted a raid at a house in the area based on secret information early in the morning.
They detained the persons during the raid along with video footage and scientific equipment.
The arrested men are being interrogated at elite force custody, the RAB official said.
A case had been filed in this connection with the Mohammadpur Police Station, Major Maksudul Alam added.
