Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has held a bilateral meeting with Dhaka-visiting Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa. Six MoUs (memorandum of understanding) have signed in the meeting. Three of them were new MoUs and three were renewal.
The MoU was signed at a meeting of the delegation led by the Prime Ministers of the two countries at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on Saturday.
Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina welcomed Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Tiger Gate on his arrival at the PMO Office. Before the start of the meeting, the Prime Ministers of the two countries held a tête-à-tête for some time.
It is to be mentioned that Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived in Dhaka on Friday on a two-day visit to attend the celebrations of the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Golden Jubilee of Independence.
