High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh has granted six months ancipatory bail to joint secretary general of BNP Aslam Chowdhury in the treason case. The high court bench comprising Justice Miftabuddin Chowdhury and Justice ANM Bashir ullah announced this verdict on Thursday . counsel of Aslam chowdhury told that following the anticipatory bail, there is no bar of detention against the BNP leader.Barrister
Mahbubuddin Khokan and Sakib Mahmud defended the accused before the court. Deputy attorney general of Bangaldesh AKM Moniruzzaman Kabir pleaded on behalf of the state. Aslam Chowdhury was arrested in a treason case after the conspiracy of dethroning the government in last year. He was arrested on May 15 last, sources said.
