Staff Reporter: At least six people, including a Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) member have been killed and several others injured in a clash between BGB and illegal timber traders in Khagrachhari.
The incident took place in Gazinagar village of Matiranga upazila around 11 am on Tuesday, police said.
MN Salauddin , Khagrachhari Additional Superintendent of Police, said that the clash took place when BGB members wanted to stop a timber-laden truck. The illegal timber traders started attack on BGB which triggered the clash between the para military force and the timber traders.
The bodies were sent to Matiranga Upazila Health Complex.
