At least 6 persons were killed and 50 others injured in separate road crashes across the country on Wednesday.
In Dinajpur, a woman and her daughter have been crushed under a truck in Dinajpur sadar upazila.
The incident took place early Wednesday in front of Dinajpur Medical College Hospital.
The deceased could not be identified immediately.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kotoali Thana Mohammad Tanvirul Islam confirmed the news to the media.
In Barishal, at least one person was killed and 40 others injured in two separate road crashes of the district on Wednesday.
At Gournadi, at least 35 people were injured in a head-on collision between two buses of the upazila.
The accident took place in Khanjapur area of Barisal-Dhaka highway around 12:30 pm on Wednesday.
Gournadi Fire Service Station Officer Bipul Hossain said two buses, Al Mobaraka and Barisal Express, collided head-on on the highway. After the incident, highway police and fire service personnel rescued them and admitted them to the Upazila Health Complex. Among them, 3 seriously injured people have been sent to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
Meanwhile, a biker named Billal hossain was killed when a private car rammed his motorcycle in Ujirpur upazila of the district on Wednesday afternoon.
In Habiganj, a tomtom (easybike) driver named Rahel Mia (20) died in a road accident at Baniachang in Habiganj. Two others were injured. The accident took place near Ratna Bazar on the Habiganj-Baniachang regional road on Wednesday (July 8) morning.
In Pirojpur, Abdullah Al Mamun, 33, a volunteer league leader, was killed in a bus crash at Nazirpur in Pirojpur. The accident took place at noon on Wednesday (July 7) in the Shaildah area of the Pirojpur-Dhaka highway.
In Laxmipur, a Saudi expatriate named Bandhan Ahmed (25) was killed in a collision between a CNG autorickshaw and a motorcycle in Muktiganj of the district. He died on the way to Dhaka around 11:30 pm on Tuesday night.
