Tractor driver and helper were killed and three brick kiln labourers were injured in an accident at Mollan village under Sundarpur union of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on Thursday night.
The deceased persons have been identified as driver of the tractor Badsha, 22, son of Ashraful Hoque and helper Kalimuddin Kalu, 28, son of Abdul Hoque Kota both of Bagdanga village under Sundarpur union of Chapainawabganj sadar upazila.
The injured were Shariful Islam, 23, son of Saidur Rahman, Nahid, 22, son of Helal Uddin and Bhulu, 26, son of Mahtab Uddin all of Bagdanga village. Sundarpur UP chairman Matiur Rahman Moti and SI Ataur Rahman of Chapainawabganj Sadar thana said, they were returning home from Mirerchara of the union at around 9 pm. As a tyre of the front wheel punctured near a culvert at Mollan, tractor overturned and the driver and the helper fell under it. They died on the spot.
The injured persons took treatment locally.

Kurigram Correspondent reports: One child wad killed under the wheels of Kurigram municipality garbage truck at Horikes area under Sadar upazila and another child was drowned at Roumari upazila on Thursday evening.
The garbage truck of Kurigram municipality dashed a child at 2 pm on Thursday. The child was killed on the spot.
The deceased was identified as Shourov 2 son of Sohel Miah of village Char Horikesh under Kurigram sadar upazila.The truck driver was mercilessly beaten by angry mob.Inspector (Investigation) of Kurigram Sadar police station Md. Ruhani said the accident took place at Char Horikesh of Taramon bibi road.
Sylhet Correspondent adds: Two people were killed and 10 others injured as a minibus overturned at Kalapur in Sreemangal upazila on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Parvin Begum, 35, wife of Abul Kashem, haling from Thanabazar in Sadar upazila, and Amir Hossain, 23, son of Harun Miah of Missionpara in Kulaura upazila.
Locals said the Moulvibazar-bound minibus rolled over in the area around 4:30pm after its driver lost his control over the steering, leaving Parvin and Amir dead on the spot and 10 passengers injured.
