A court in Chittagong sent six activists of Jubo League including central Jubo League member Ali Hossain to jail custody yesterday for alleged involvment with the double murder incident centring the railway tender manipulation .
Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Ahmed Sayeed ordered them for jail custody yesterday following their surrender before the court yesterday.
Bail petitions against these juboleague cadres rejected by court and sent them to jail. The accused that sent to jail are Khokan Chandra, Ali Hossain, Ziaul alias Sohag, Md. Masum , Sumon and Saiful.
Counsel of the accused Advocate Iftikar Saimul Chowdhury told the New Nation that these accused Jubo league activists sought interim bail from high court on January 27 last but HC rejected their petition and asked them to surrender before the lower court in Chittagong.
As such , the accused surrendered before the CMM court yesterday with bail petition. CMM court rejected the bail petition and ordered to send them jail custody.
Mentionable that two children named Saju Palit and Arman Hossain were killed on June 24 last in CRB area following the clash erupted between two split group of Jubo league and chatra league centring the tender manipulation.
