Police in a drive arrested six members of a robber gang from Shreepur area of Raipur upazila early Tuesday.
The arrestees, identified as Parvez, Sohag, Mintu, Tipu, Sultan and Redwan, hail from different villages of Raipur and Sadar upazilas.
Tipped-off that a robber gang was preparing to commit robbery in Shreepur area early in the morning, a team of police conducted a drive there and arrested the six, said M Manjurul Haque Ananda, officer-in-charge of Raipur Police Station.
They are members of an inter-district robbers’ gang, said the OC.
The arrested were accused in several cases, including for robbery, filed with different police stations.
