Six idols were stolen from a temple at Fandauk village in Nasirnagar upazila on Saturday night.
The incident came to light early Sunday when Sebayet Gouranga Chandra Saha of Sri Sri Gopinath Jew Temple entered the temple around 3 am. He found all the locks of the temple broken.
A 65-year old idol made of touchstone was among the stolen idols.
The miscreants also took away money from the donation box and the music instruments.
On information, Abu Zafar Obaidullah, officer-in-charge of Nasirnagar Police Station and UNO Liakat Ali visited the temple on Sunday morning.
