Detective Branch (DB) of police in separate drives arrested six alleged members of a fake currency racket along with counterfeit notes worth Tk50 lakh from different parts of the capital on Friday night. Tipped off, a team of DB police conducted separate drives in Badda and Rampura areas of the city and arrested six people along with fake currency notes worth Tk50 lakh and note forging tools in the night, said Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Details of the arrestees would be revealed later through a press conference of DB, he added.
