At least six leaks were found under on the north side of the mosque which had been damaged in horrific AC blast in Narayanganj, said Abdul Wahab, Head of the Investigation Committee of Titas Gas.
These leakages were created during the construction work of the Mosque.
Besides permission was not taken during the construction of the mosque, Abdul Wahab added.
Earlier, Titas Gas authorities
had formed a five-member committee to probe the blast at the mosque, said Mofizul Islam, DGM of the company’s Narayanganj Office.
Local sources said that around 50 workers began digging in front of the Baitus Salat Jame Mosque at West Talla since Monday with shovels, hammers, chisels, spades, and baskets. They tried to identify the Titas gas pipeline by cutting the RCC on the east side of the mosque, the road in front of the east side, and two places on the north side.
At least 27 people were killed in an explosion at the Baitus Salat Jame Mosque at west Talla of Fatulla in Narayanganj Sadar Upazila on Friday night.
