Six people, including a teenage girl, were found dead in Keraniganj on the outskirts of the capital, Sylhet and Moulvibazar districts on Friday.
In Keraniganj, three bodies were recovered from the Buriganga River.
Kamal Hossain, sub-inspector of South Keraniganj Police Station said, they recovered the throat-slit body of an unidentified man from near Mirerbagh Godaraghat around 12pm.
The body of a garment worker, Monir Hossen, 25, was recovered from Khejurbagh area around 2pm.
Besides, the body of an unidentified youth was recovered from
the Sadarghat area in the afternoon.
All three bodies were sent to Mitford Hospital in the capital for autopsy, said police.
Nazrul Islam, in-charge of Bandar Bazar police camp under Sylhet Kotwali Police Station, said a hotel employee was found dead at Sunflower Hotel in Dhopadighir Par in the city early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Tera Miah, 34, son of late Jalil Miah of Jararkona village in Dharmapasha upazila of Sunamganj district.
Being informed by the hotel authorities, police recovered the body of Tera Miah which bore several marks of injury and his legs were tied up with rope, said police.
Besides, police recovered the throat-slit body of an unidentified young girl aged about 13 at Joypasha in Kulaura municipality area of Moulvibazar around 8am on Friday.
