6 cows of farmer lifted in Sharankhola

As many as six cows including bullocks belonging to a farmer named Afang Fakir (35) of village Chhoto Nalbunia within Dhansagar Union Parishad under Sharankola Upazila in Bagerhat district were lifted by thieves from his cow shed on Friday night, a acceding to a delayed report received here.
 It is learnt from the police and the locals that at night Afang Fakir kept his six cows in the cow shed, went to his bed and fell asleep. In the following morning he woke up and found that all the six cows were lifted by thieves. On information SI Amir Hoassain of Sharankhola PS visited the place of occurrence and told the newsmen over mobile phone, police are trying their best to recover the lifted cows and arrest the thieves. The price of the (lifted) cows is estimated for Tk.3 lakh. It may be mentioned here that at the might of last Thursday a sum of cash Tk.42 thousand and 2 mobile phones were stolen by the miscreants from the house of truck driver Sohrab Hossain of village Nalbunia within Khontakata Union Parishad under the same Upazila.
