6 Awami League rebel candidates expelled in Sylhet

Sylhet district Awami League has expelled 6 leaders and activists who participated in the election against the boat symbol in five unions of Sylhet.
On Monday (November 22), Sylhet District Awami League Acting President Shofiqur Rahman Chowdhury and General Secretary Advocate Nasir Uddin Khan confirmed the matter to reporters through a letter signed by the party leaders and workers.
The expelled are Muzibur Rahamn of Silam Union, Nesarul Haque Bustan of Jalalpur Union, Fokhrul Islam Saesta and Shaminul Haque Sebul of Muglabazar Union, Nurul Islam Alom of Daudpur Union under Dakshin Suma Upazila and Aminur Rashi of Jiknagul Union under Jointapur Upazila in Sylhet district.
The expelled leaders and activists were working in different units of Sylhet district, upazila and union level.
Elections will be held in 5 Union Parishads of Sylhet Sadar Upazila on November 28. The local administration has made all kinds of preparations to complete the election.
