A 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Indonesia’s Java Island on Friday, the United States Geological Survey said.
USGS said that the quake hit at a depth of 37 kilometres (23 miles) at 0905 GMT southwest of the island, with the tremor felt in the capital Jakarta, according to AFP journalists.
