Coast Guards members in a drive seized 6.4 lakh pieces of Yaba pills, said to be worth TK 32 crore, from the Bay of Bengal at Bhatiari in Sitakunda upazila early Monday.
Tipped off that a big consignment of Yaba is being unloaded at the outer-anchorage of the sea, coast guards conducted the drive around 5 am and recovered the huge abandoned pills in four sacks, said Mohammad Imran, a public relation officer of Chittagong Coast Guard.
