Fifty-nine new books arrived at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair on Monday, the 16th day of the fair.
Of them, 11 are story books, five articles, 17 poems, one on research, four for children, two on Liberation War, eight novels, three on history, one science fictions, and eight on other subjects.
Thirteen books were also unveiled on the Nazrul Mancha on the Bangla Academy premises yesterday.
The unveiled books are: Dibarno Kabbya by AHM Enamul Haque, Srmitir Janalay Pousher Rod by ASM Abdur Rab Khan, Bish Poka by Sahana Khanam Shimu, Dhongsher Michhil Rajniti by Advocate Moriam Tuli, Bangladesher Upannyase Monobisheshan by Dr Nilima Afrin, `71 Er Ekattor Nari by Supa Sadia, Bhabnar Antarale by Sanjida Akhter, Nil Padma by Mosharraf Hossain Mamun, Trijoli of Kafi by Rumana Chowdhury, Rubayat-e-Gazi by Abdullahhel Baki, Projonmer Padabali by Azizur Rahman Aziz, Ei Mon Ei Deho by Rezanur and
Moddhyarater Surja by Saral Sonnyashi. The new books are: Choray Choray Pakhi Chini by Syeda Rashida Bari, Swapna Jhora Diganta by Farjana Poli, Kotipay Shadharan Galpa by Ataur Rahman, Bristimoy Saradin by Anwar Kabir, Oshomapta by Chameli Roy, Hajar Bochorer Bangla Gan by Monayem Sarker, Parpar by Sarjil Khan, Path Cholatei Ananda by Salina Hossain, Jokhon Ami Ekla Thaki by Jakir Abu Jafar, Television Projojona by Shakil Bin Mostaque, Lal Darpan by Md Abdus Samad, Pushpita Sen by Sraban Ahmed, Time Hole by Shahadat Shohag, Harer Michhil and Kadam Ali London by M Moshaid Khan and Bangladesh by Arifur Rahman Nayeem.
Discussion on “Gaanbhittik Somaj 0 Digital Bangladesh Nirmane Tothya-Projukti” was held at the main stage of the fair yesterday.
Professor Jamilur Reza Chowdhury presided over the programme while Nazrul Islam Khan presented the keynote paper.
Mostafa Jabbar, Tarique Sujat, Aparesh Bandyapoddhyai and Mahbub Jaman discussed the programme.
A cultural programme was held with the participation of thousands of people from all walks of life.
Discussion on “Mahmudul Haquer Kotha Sahittye Gaddya Shasan” will be held on the main podium of the fair today.
Hasan Azizul Haque will preside over the discussion, while Abu Hena Mostafa Enam will present the keynote paper.
Rafique Kaiser, Anisul Haque and Ahmed Mostafa Kamal will be present as discussants.
