Police detained 59 people, including nine drug dealers in Satkhira for anti-drug drive on Wednesday.
They were arrested from different upazilas of the district. During the operation several drugs including 15 bottles of phensedyl were recovered.
Five cases were filed in this regard. Arrested are -10 people in Satkhira Sadar, 13 in Kalaroa, 4 in Tali, 7 in Kaliganj, 11 in Shyamnagar, 5 in Asasuni, 4 in Debhata and 5 in Patkelghata.
Inspector of Satkhira District Police Special Branch Azam Khan confirmed the arrest of the detainees and said that the accused were sued on various charges including sabotage and drug dealing .
