Customs intelligence team at Chittagong Shah Amanat International Airport seized 58 smart mobile phone sets of Samsung and HTC Branch from a incoming air passenger on Friday morning.
Customs official Syed Mokaddas Hossain told this correspondent that an expatriate named Yasin came Chittagong by Air Arabia flight from Sharjah , UAE and these undeclared mobile sets were recovered from his possession after checking his luggage and body.
The seized mobile sets consist of 46 Samsung Smart phone and 12 HTC sets and the approximate cost of these phone is about Tk.10 lakh. A case under customs act lodged with the Customs department and the passenger was freed , sources said.
