UNB, Dhaka :Officials of Customs and Customs Intelligence seized 58 gold bars, weighing 6.8 kg in three separate incidents at Shah Amanat International Airport on Thursday night and Friday morning.Selim Reza, assistant commissioner of customs, said a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines ‘BG-024’ landed at the airport at around 10 pm.Tipped off, a team of customs officials conducted operation in the flight and recovered 54 abandoned gold bars, worth Tk 2.70 crore.Besides, the customs officials recovered five gold bars, weighing 583 grams from Nure Safa, a passenger of ‘Oman Air’, while crossing the green channel in the evening.
