57th branch of SBAC opens at Labonchara

The opening ceremony of 57th branch of South Bangla Agriculture and Commerce Bank Ltd (SBAC) was held at Modina Tower of Labonchara Bandhabazar area in Khulna city at around 12 pm yesterday.
Talukdar Abdul Khalek, MP , President of Khulna City Awami League and former KCC Mayor was present as Chief Guest while Chairman of the Bank and eminent industrialist SM Amzad Hossain and KCCI President Kazi Aminul Haque were present and delivered speech as special guests.
Md. Rafiqul Islam, MD of SBAC Ltd. presided over the meeting.
Dr Syed Hafizur Rahman, Independent Director, Mostafa Jalaluddin,Additional MD, SM Habib, President of Khulna Press Club were also present and delivered speeches in the opening ceremony meeting.
Chairman SM Amzad Hossain said in his speech that the Government has declared that Bangladesh would be a middle incoming country within 2021.
We are so much different from others in banking sector, Chairman Amzad added.
SBAC Chairman SM Amzad Hossain also told that the name of the bank was kept according to the advice of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
 Chief Guest Talukdar Abdul Khalek said, people from all walks of life can deposit in this bank.
He said adding that there were no branches of any bank in Labonchara area and to give service of this locality.
Before delivering his speech, Talukdar Abdul Khalek recalled the memories of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other family members who were brutally killed during this month August .
The opening ceremony of the bank started amid the reciting the holy Quran.
One minute silence was observed before beginning the inaugural ceremony of the branch as mourning month is on.
