UP elections: 57 out of 113 Moheshpur polling centres risky

Some 57 polling centres out of total 113 is more risky in bordering Moheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah.
 The Election Commission (EC) has arranged the polling of the union parishads on March 31 (Thursday). The police administration has declared the centres risky.
The EC sources said, 220,551 voters will cast their votes in 12 union parishads of the bordering upazila. Of them the number of women voter was 109,429.
50 aspirants have been fighting for the position of union parishad chairmen, while 409 and 105 have been fighting for ward commissioners and preserved seats for the women.
Abul Kalm Azad, a candidate of the opposition BNP said the rivals over cellular phone and orally threatening him not to contest in the polls on March 31. An independent candidate of Kazirber union Abdul Bari alleged, the ruling party men have been barring him conducting any campaign in the locality. His men are not in a position to move any more, he added.
Another independent candidate of Azampur union said, the police men have been conducting search in his house leading him allupe conducting the election campaigns.
3 election camps of AL rebel candidate vandalised
The miscreants on Tuesday morning have vandalized three election camps of rebel Awami League candidate in Banshbaria Union of bordering Moheshpur upazila.
 Four supporters of the rebel candidate Abdul Malek sustained minor injuries in the incident .
Moheshpur Police Officer -in -Charge Aminul Islam Biplab said, a group of miscreants have vandalized three election camps of Abdul Malek at Sundarpur, Mominpur and Kola villages of Moheshpur in the early hours of the day. The injured were provided primary treatment. No case was filed till Tuesday afternoon, OC said.
