A total of 54,481 students secured scholarships on the basis of results in Primary School Certificate (PSC) examinations held in November 2014.
The Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman announced the list of this year’s scholarship winners at a press briefing at the Secretariat on Sunday.
The scholarships were given in two categories- talent pool and general- on the basis of highest marks in the examinations.
Among the scholarship recipients, 21,983 got scholarships under talent pool while 32,498 others
under general category. The students who got scholarships under talent pool will be given Tk 200 per month while the scholarship holders under general category Tk 150 for the next three years.The recipients of both categories will be given Tk 150 yearly at a time.
In 2013, a total of 54,412 students got scholarships in the PSC Examinations.
