Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain has constituted a total of 53 High Court benches to run judicial functions virtually from August 11.
A notification issued to this effect on Monday said, the High Court benches will conduct judicial functions using information technology and following “practice directions” in virtual presence of lawyers, officials and others concerned to contain the infections of the Covid-19 virus. After a long gap, all the High Court benches of the Supreme Court are going to start judicial functions again from today (Wednesday). It will be a big relief for the justice seeking people and the lawyers.
Lawyers of the Supreme Court and other bars of the country were requesting the chief justice to open the courts at least virtually.
