Chittagong Bureau :
Chittagong City City Corporation ( CCC) in association with Chittagong Metropolitan Police evicted 51 signboards including 6 billboards from different points of the port city from early morning to evening yesterday.
Police commissioner Abdul Jalil Mandol led the eviction drive . CCC senior officials were also present during the raid.
CCC sources said two billboards from Almas cinema hall crossing, one from WASA moore and three from Isphani crossing were evicted.
Besides, 51 signboards were removed from the electric posts in GEC area in city.
Asstt. Commissioner of CMP Kotwali zone Md. Abdur Rouf said actions will be taken against the owners of the illegal billboards and signboards under CMP Act.
