Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) extended electricity facilities to 5,08,734 new families in March, 2016. This was part of giving 30 lakh new connections during the fiscal year 2015-16, says a press release of the board issued recently.
About 60,00,000 families will be given electricity facilities by 2021 for achieving the UNO declared sustainable development goal (SDG).
The press release claims that the BREB has so far brought 1,50,18,950 families under electricity facility.
