Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 50,000 pieces of Yaba tablet worth Tk1.50 crore from near the Naf River at Najirpara in Teknaf upazila on Friday midnight.
Tipped off, a BGB team from battalion-42 conducted a raid at Najirpara in the river around 11:45 pm and recovered the 50,000 pieces of Yaba tablet in an abandoned condition, said commanding officer of BGB-42 Lieutenant Colonel Abu Jar Al Zahid.
However, there was no arrest as the drug smugglers managed to escape the scene.
