50000 illegal gas lines cut off in Narsingdi

Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company, Narsingdi Zonal Office disconnected more than 50000 illegal gas lines of residential area at Madhabdi, Hazipur, Pachdona, Kathaliya, Balapur, Chinishpur, Valanogor under Narsingdi Sadar upazila and Gojariya, Vagdi, Gonergaw, Pakoriya, Pakushiya, Chornogordi, Taltoli, Paroliya areas under Polash Upazila.
These lines were disconnected with the help of Narsingdi District Administration. A team of Titas gas authority conducted a raid and a mobile court at the areas led by executive magistrate Shah-Alam Miah, Masud Kamal and Mahar Nigher from morning till evening.
Manager of Titas Gas Transmission and distribution company Narsingdi Zonal Office engineer Towhidul Islam said, more than 50000 lines of 35000 houses of the areas were disconnected and seized about 20000 meters of one inch and two inches diameter pipes used to connect those illegal lines. Sensing the presence of mobile court, the users of the area fled away from their houses.
Manager of the Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Narsingdi Zonal Office engineer Rashel Ahamed, Deputy Manager Engineer Karim Ahammed, Assistant Engineer Shirazul Islam and Sub-Assistant engineer Rofiqul Alam were present during the mobile court.
